hey again

Azrael here just here to post about an audio file I've been working with i've been try to make it stereo so that the base and guitar sound like they are in different places at different time.

This is really just a basic attempt at a surround sound kind of effect with just 2 headphones unfortunately i had some problem with the levels so it is quite fuzzy but i manage to kinda of get the effect that i am looking for with the surround sound.

here is the link to the audio and if you want to see any of my other videos please visit my YouTube account SirMortum.

Hey again

Azrael here I have decided to try to make an animation that I saw online by one of my faviroue company’s this company is of course Ubisoft and the video that I have decided that I was going to try to remake is the introduction the might and magic 6 game this is quite a big project but I’m going to try to give it ago before the end of the assignments.

I decided to have a go at recreating the Ubisoft video because I had, had a look at it and worked out around about how they had originally done it so I went and thought if I could do the same effects and I worked out with some help from tutorials I should be able to do at least a rough attempt at it.

Anyway that’s pretty much the end of this post hopefully you’ll heard more on this project later but because of the time I have left and the main project and other work I may not have time to do redo this animation, so again if you want to catch any of my videos you can find them on my YouTube Account SirMortum and I hope you enjoyed this post also the link below links to the original Ubisoft animation that I was thinking about redoing:

Hey again

Azrael here with another post I have just finished I have gone one up on the last tutorial that I posted and went and done the wall of light animation tutorial by video co-pilot this is basically pretty much what it says on the packet I’m creating a wall of light that my will be in front of this tutorial did take me quite a lot of time to finish but the effect the end of it was quite impressive again I was using the optical plugin to do this tutorial.

To actually create this I had to create a lot of lights on the screen I ended up with around about 200 or so of them so quite a few I arranged the in a 3d semi-circle like the tutorial instructed:

I then went and followed the tutorial more and eventually created a light bulb kind of effect on the lights I also made the text 3d or at least gave it the illusion of being 3D by duplicating it and putting them behind each other.
I also added animation onto the bulbs to the it look like they were flickering it was a really good effect and really completed the wall of light then I simply create a camera and had it move around the front of the wall of light directed at the text.

Anyway that tutorial went really well I think I didn’t really have any problems it took quite some time to finish but apart from that it went really well and I think that I learn quite a lot from it, so that the end of this post as usual if you want to see any of my videos you can look them up on my YouTube channel SirMortum and here’s a direct link to the wall of light video on my account:

Hey again

Azrael here another post here I have decided to start on some optical animations and here’s my first it’s basically just a few lens flares along with a few other things to make it look like an eclipse with the sun going behind the moon it’s just the last few seconds of it but I really think this tutorial went really well and I didn’t find it that challenging to create such a great effect so that was cool.

To make this I started with going online to find a moon looking texture
The texture above the one I found online I then used after effects to wrap this into a ball that was pretty cool because I didn’t know that after effects could actually do that so that was nice the using the optical flares plugin that i had I created the sun using a few glows to make it after that I position the sun just peeking out from behind the moon like so:

I then made the moon rotate a bit so it looked like it was moving/ spinning in-front of the sun and I made the sun move behind the moon then I went and created another layer and using the optical flares plugin again I created this kind of glare:

I made this using a few multi-iris, glints simmers and streak’s and of course a glow as well then I made it go around the sun at the points it was going into the moon too make it look really good and following the tutorial more made it only shine where it was not obstructed by the sun or moon.

Not everything was done in the order I just talked about it in I did this from a video co-pilot tutorial by Andrew Cramer the tutorial was very good and I think I gave me a good grasp on the optical flares and I feel ready to try a more complicated tutorial

Anyway hope you like the post as much as I liked creating it as usual if you want to watch any of my videos just go to my YouTube account SirMortum they are all on there or take the direct link that I’ve posted below:

Hey again just a quick post this time on the last post I forgot to say about the problem I had with uploading this video to YouTube so unfortunately the end result that I had and the end result that ended up on YouTube where a bit different since YouTube has decided to crop quite a bit of my video so I have re-uploaded it hopefully that makes the video quality a bit better and you can see a bit more of what’s going on but it was still being a bit stubborn so it’s not the best

Anyway just wanted to say sorry about that here’s the new link to the video and as usual you can catch any of the other videos I have on my YouTube account SirMortum.

Hey again here’s my new post if you remember the last post I was having some trouble with the tutorial I had decided to take on the building collapse tutorial and was quite advanced tutorial I have managed to somewhat fix the problem I was having I tried a few different places on the tutorial to track rather than the floor and I even gave the floor another few goes just in case.

I tried to go for the blue box in the background, that worked much better for tracking than any of the pervious items in the footage that I had tried but there were still some problems mostly the sparks I had coming off one of the lights not staying on the light and blatantly so, making it impossible to hid I eventual end up using the actual light as a point to track it may not have been the best place to track but it did much better than even the blue box in the background the sparks stayed on the light for the most part so that I could hid it a bit and it looked ok I decided just to use this one because I couldn’t think or find a better place to track or do a better track with any other item.

This tutorial was quite hard mostly because of the tracking and the lack of good things to track this I think is because the video was to be very action orientated so was very fast and so made a lot of thing blur and so very difficult for the tracker to keep track of and very hard for me to keep track of with my current level of skill tracking.

Anyway that just about the end of the post I found this tutorial really difficult because of the tracking and my level of skill with tracking hopefully I will get better at this eventually so that future animations with tracking turn out more than just acceptable. So as usual you can catch all of my videos on my YouTube account that’s SirMortum and just in case you find it hard to find this video here’s the link below:

Hey again
Azrael here and with a new post I’ve been working on that new after effects animation that I was talking about but it’s been a nightmare from the start i’ve had huge problems with the tracking I started off just trying to track the light to add in my sparks and stuff I was tracking the (a mark on the floor that the guy leading the tutorial suggested)

This didn’t seem to work very well at all so I’m going to try to use some of the other points that hopefully are a bit more distinguishable because the floor is just blurring out totally so the program is losing its place and a lot of points and I can’t see it enough to correct them by hand.

Anyway this is the end of this post for the next post I’m going to try to use another point in the footage and see if that works any better than the floor
So thanks for reading look out for the next post and as usual you can see any of my animations on my YouTube account, that’s SirMortum on YouTube and just in case your finding it hard to find here’s a link to my main page:

Hey
Azrael here again with another new post I have decided what my next tutorial will be I haven’t started it yet but I found it when going about looking through for a good one and this one looks pretty good it’s pretty much as advancement on what I’ve already done some far using the techniques that I have been learning in the last two tutorial.  The tutorial is an video co-piolet one again it’s of a building crashing down around this guy and him trying to get out kind of thing looks really good but I may have some problem with it because of certain aspects of it but I can hope I don’t have any problems and it all goes smoothly.
So hopefully that will be up quite soon anyway look forward to you on the next post

See ya
Azrael

Hey again Guys

Azrael here with another new post on the blog I’ve got another animation in after effects I decided that this time in would go for something a little bit different maybe a bit harder but not too much since it’s only my second tutorial in I went with an tutorial with a putting muzzle flare on a gun this actually proved quite difficult and I had some problems tacking the end of the gun to put the muzzle flare onto it but I eventually managed it and added the other cool effects and bits and pieces to the animation.

Again if you want to see any of my work you can find me on youtube my account is SirMortum please come and have a look what I’ve done or what I’m working on at the moment and if your just here for this posts work the link is below:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&NR=1&v=b7XkCON7Cbk

Anyway that pretty much the end of my post I quite enjoyed that animation and am thinking about doing another like it quite soon.

Ok then I’ll see you guys later hope you enjoyed the post
Azrael

Hey Again
Azrael here just posting on my first finished tutorial on after effects that I’ve managed to finish I did this city scene and out of the blue there’s an explosion from one of the buildings a big fireball that comes out and some glass shattering and a bit of debris kind of thing, it was an video co-pilot tutorial done by Andrew Cramer.

The tutorial was pretty good a nice introduction into the after effects world of animation and not too hard really Andrew went through it and made it pretty easy to follow it didn’t take me that long to do this tutorial I thought it was really good and I liked my end result and thankfully when I uploaded it to YouTube it came out really nicely I was expecting YouTube to destroy it so really please about that.

Anyway better wrap this up you can see my video, and any other videos that I have made, on my YouTube account that’s SirMortum or you can just follow the link I’ve posted below:
